What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit it. They're widely used to make websites work, or to work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owner.
Cookies we use
We keep our cookie use minimal on purpose. Here is the full list.
Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the Site to function and cannot be disabled. They handle things like remembering that you closed the announcement bar, or keeping your session secure if you're logged in.
- Session cookie — keeps your visit secure. Expires when you close the browser.
- Consent preference cookie — remembers your cookie preferences so we don't ask you every time. Expires after 12 months.
Analytics cookies
These help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. They're privacy-friendly and do not collect personally identifiable information.
- Plausible Analytics (or similar privacy-first analytics tool) — sets no persistent cookies and does not track you across sites. If we ever switch to a tool that uses cookies, this page will be updated.
Third-party cookies
Some third-party services embedded on our Site may set their own cookies. These currently include:
- Newsletter signup provider (e.g. MailerLite) — when you subscribe to our newsletter, our provider sets a cookie to track successful signup.
- Consultation booking tool (e.g. Cal.com or Calendly) — when you book a consultation, the booking tool may set cookies to manage your session.
- Affiliate networks — if you click an affiliate link, the merchant's affiliate program sets a cookie to track the referral so we can be credited for the sale. This cookie does not identify you personally to us. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
How to control cookies
You have several options for managing cookies:
- Browser settings. All major browsers allow you to block, delete, or receive notifications about cookies. Instructions for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
- Opt out of analytics. If you'd rather not be counted in our (aggregate, anonymous) analytics, you can enable "Do Not Track" in your browser — we honour it.
- Third-party opt-outs. For third-party services, check their own cookie policies for opt-out options.
Please note that if you block strictly-necessary cookies, some parts of the Site may not work correctly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as our tools or practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the latest changes took effect.
